The mode of treatment followed at poonkudil mana based on traditional Indian Psychology, which lies scattered in the Upanishads and the Vedas. Hereditary knowledge is strictly adhered for the treatment and is fully on the basis of Ayurveda.

Dhara is method for well being of head and eyes. Herbal medicines in liquid form are used for this purpose.
Jala Dhara and Kashaya Dhara:-
They are essential elements of medication. Kashayam is poured on the upper part of the forehead of the invalid for an hour continuously.
Nasyam:-
Nasyam is the application of liquid medicine in the nostrils, which often act like a stimulant of memory power.
Bali uzhichil:-
It is one of the old method used to exhorcise the fear from the patient together with chanting mantras.
Thakkid Kettal:-
A species of charm, engraved on lead, copper or silver metal, supposed to exert some protective influence over the weaver. It is to be weaved with in the body which gives relief from fear like a visible token with magical power.
Other medicines such as Arishtam, Ghritam, Thailam , Pills and Bhasmas are also giving in necessary cases.
